Gene Hrdina
Gene Hrdina is the owner and manager of Designer Landscape. Gene graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a degree in Agriculture Economics and Landscape Design.He married his wife Donna, and together they built Designer Landscape into a family owned and operated business that values honesty, integrity, and strong client relationships. He began Designer Landscape in 1983 with an old pickup and some hand tools, and twenty-four years later he is operating one of the most successful landscape companies in Mid-Missouri. Through his expertise and leadership, Designer Landscape continues to grow and meet the demands of every client.

Jason Dubbert
Jason graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree in Plant Science with areas on emphasis in Landscape Design, Nursery Crop production and Greenhouse Crop Production. He began working with Designer Landscape in 2000. Jason is the Landscape Design specialist, working with clients to develop custom landscapes to fit their needs. Jason also holds a pesticide applicators license and works with the maintenance division to keep clients’ landscapes’ looking healthy and sharp. “My goal for any landscape is for it to look like it has always been there. A natural and pleasing landscape adds so much to the cold world of concrete and brick.” |
Jeff Henson
Jeff began working for Designer Landscape in 2004. He is Designer Landscapes’ Project Manager and has a wide range of experience in retaining walls, landscape, water features, lighting, and construction for commercial and residential developments. Jeff stays up to date with new developments in the landscape industry by regularly attending classes from PLANET (Professional Landscape Network), Missouri Botanical Gardens, and Mid-America Green Industry Council. “I enjoy working with clients and co-workers to create new and existing outdoor spaces.”

Dave Victor
Dave honed irrigation skills as the head of the grounds keeping crew at Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa, and has extensive experience in Agricultural irrigation. He began working for Designer Landscape in 2006 as head of the Irrigation Division. He keeps up to date with cutting-edge technology in the irrigation industry by attending classes from ABPA (American Backflow Prevention Association), the irrigation Association (IA), and other industry leaders. Dave is focused on irrigation design, development, and installation on commercial and residential developments. With a costumer first attitude, he’s more than willing to discuss and solve clients’ irrigation needs.
Thelma Conner
Thelma attended Metro Business College and graduated in 1991 with an Administrative Assistant Certificate. After working for the University of Missouri for 9 years, she began working with Designer Landscape in 2000. Thelma is usually the first person you talk with when you call Designer Landscape. She handles all of the office responsibilities and interacts daily with other team members to provide customers with the quality and expertise Designer Landscape is known for. She works personally with clients to answer any questions or concerns they may have.
Angel Bello
Angel joined Designer Landscape in 2007 after receiving a degree in Computer Systems from ITSM. Angel works in the Maintenance Division, helping clients to enhance their outdoor spaces. He continues to remain abreast of the latest Landscape Maintenance standards from classes by PLANET, Missouri Botanical Gardens, and the Mid-America Green Counsel. Angel also serves as Designer Landscape’s Information Technologies expert.
